Twitter is one of my favorite platforms but it can be noisy, meaning there is a lot of traffic on Twitter and it's hard to hear and be heard. There are a number of applications that make managing Twitter easier, Meshfire is one of them.
One aspect I like about this platform is that it has built in goal setting, you create a mission for your Twitter account that could include the following
Interact with Followers
Cut time on Social Media
You select the amount of new followers or interactions you are aiming for in a specified period of time, usually 2 weeks.. You create a name for your mission, which is helpful if you have several twitter accounts or several objectives and identify how aggressively you want to work toward your mission. This could be how frequently suggested tasks expire, how frequently they should suggest new people to follow, or how vigorously you want possible spam accounts treated.
The dashboard is helpful if you want to recognize your top engages, or new followers in a tweet or want to analyze your engagement, audience, or reach
This is where I spend most of my time. Meshfire uses artificial intelligence to make suggestions for who you should follow, block, or engage with. Each time you log in you are presented with a series of tasks, which you can complete yourself, defer to to team member or discard. Each task represents an activity that Meshfire feels will help you achieve your identified goal. When you click on a task you are presented with options to engage, retweet, or quote and edit prior to posting. You can connect your buffer and bit.ly accounts to make posting more effective as well.
One feature I like is that each task includes a click-able link to the tweeter bio and feed that Meshfire is recommending I engage with. This makes decision making easier and allows you to determine if is something you want to complete or discard.
Conclusion: Pros and Cons
If you have a large number of people you follow and are having difficulty filtering out who you should engage with, this platform provides you with a doable daily to do list that will help you increase engagement and develop relationships with others.
I did enjoy the ease of having a specific list of activities to complete without getting sucked into a time consuming search of good tweets to retweet.
At the time of this post, they offered a free trial, with what seemed like unlimited missions. For me, each mission was a twitter account that I was managing and I trialed three missions. I believe going forward the cost of each mission would be $9 per month.
Is this a platform you've used? Let me know if you liked it or how you found it helpful.
